I have just returned home from my trip throughout Europe and wanted to say thanks for your time and the cupping! I met so many awesome people in the Specialty Coffee industry during my trip who were so generous with their time, knowledge and product. If it weren't for the inspiration I gained from you and other professionals, my career choice would have been wildly different! So I thank you again for the deeply humbling and inspirational experience that you all gave me. I am looking forward to many exciting years ahead in the Specialty Coffee industry, and when my dream of opening an espresso bar/roastery is realised, I will definitely be using Mercanta beans!

Just a big thank you for everything [at the ‘Meet the Exporter’ event] on Wednesday. It’s an education to listen to the people who work at the growing and shipping end of the trade. If the visit recharged José Antonio’s enthusiasm, I’m sure it did ours just as much. It is very useful to have the background information and be able to talk about the personalities. In these days where ‘traceability’ and ‘sustainability’ risk becoming clichés it is good to be able to say “I’ve met the growers and shippers and know how they work and where their business is going...”.
